2024 Chevrolet Trailblazer Gets Sleeker & More Tech Features

The Chevrolet Trailblazer has become a staple small crossover for General Motors, with its mature styling and 28 miles per gallon combined fuel mileage. Now for 2024, Chevrolet is giving customers more to appreciate with updated styling that features new headlights, grille, and bumpers. New wheel designs, including 19-inch optional wheels for the RS model, round out the exterior upgrades.

Stepping inside, you’ll notice that no longer are the larger infotainment and digital cluster an option because standard is an 11-inch multimedia touchscreen and an 8-inch digital gauge cluster. It’s always nice when a car company does away with some of the options and make them standard equipment, such as in this case. Apple Carplay is standard, while a WiFi hotspot is optional. Just imagine going to the lake, taking a road trip, or just being in an area with poor cell service. You can turn on your in-car WiFi and be golden. 

Quality Engines

Two things that will stay the same, and for good reason, are the engine choices. The base engine is an EcoTec 1.2-liter Turbocharged Inline-3 mated to a continuously variable transmission, or CVT, that makes 137 horsepower at 5,000 rpm and 162 lb-ft of torque from 2,500 rpm, respectively. The second engine choice is the EcoTec 1.3-liter Turbo Inline-3 which puts out 155 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 174 lb-ft of torque from 1,600 rpm. The gearbox options are a CVT for the front-wheel drive models and a 9-speed automatic for all-wheel drive trims.

A Model For All Lifestyles

The 2024 Chevy Trailblazer keeps all the same trim levels, LS, LT, Activ, and RS. The Activ and RS trims offer a two-tone roof, too. The Activ model also features different tires and upgraded shocks and dampers that are suited for off-road duty. A wireless charger is also available for the LT, Activ, and RS trim levels. 

Size When You Need It

In terms of size, the Trailblazer features 54.4 cu.ft. of cargo space with the rear seats folded. And since you are able to fold the front passenger seat flat, you can then fit something that’s 8.5 feet long.
