New AWD Hybrid Corvette Is More Than Capable of All-Weather Driving
Can You Drive the New Chevy Corvette AWD Hybrid In the Snow?
There is a whole lot of fun to be had in a Chevy Corvette, and the fun is getting even better since Chevy is coming out with an AWD hybrid version of its globally renowned sports car called the E-Ray. If you’ve been staying on top of auto news, you’ve likely heard a lot about the car already.
In fact, you may have seen some video footage of this model, wrapped in camouflage, tearing about a snowy and icy track. Of course, after seeing that, drivers can’t help but wonder whether or not the Corvette can be driven effectively in the snow.
Corvette AWD Snow Capability
Well, we will have to wait for the final word until the model has actually been released for production. Based on the video clips, however, it seems the E-Ray will be able to handle winter weather just fun.
Of course, much of that has to do with its standard e-AWD system. In fact, Chevy’s website states that the E-Ray has been “designed for year-round performance… whether it’s snow, rain, mud or ice.” The E-Ray has e-AWD Assist, expertly using the power from both the engine and the electric motor to deliver the right amount of power where it’s needed most.
And speaking of that powertrain, we can’t forget to mention the vehicle’s 655 combined system horsepower. Thanks to the electric motor, the E-Ray can jolt from 0-60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. All of this makes the E-Ray capable of competing amongst some of the top cars around the world.
