Charging Your Chevrolet Electric Vehicle at a Tesla Supercharger Station
As of right now, you can use one of 17,000 Tesla Supercharger stations across the U.S.A. to charge your Chevrolet electric vehicle. Starting with 2025 models, you can utilize Tesla Superchargers through a North American Charging Standard (NACS) plug. If your Chevrolet EV uses the J1772 CCS plug, you can use Tesla Superchargers through a NACS adapter.
Based on Tesla’s own map, there are Tesla Supercharger stations in Austin and Rochester, along with some in the La Crosse-Onalaska area and in Northwood, Iowa. Make sure that the Tesla Supercharger station is the V3 version before pulling up to recharge.
Keep in mind that you can still charge your Chevrolet EV right here in town. There are other compatible charging stations available in Stewartville, Rochester, Austin, Preston, Lanesboro, and the Whitewater Travel Plaza in Saint Charles. In addition to these Southeastern Minnesota locations, there are compatible chargers in nearby Cresco and Northwood, Iowa.
When you are traveling up to the Twin Cities, you have lots of choices to charge up your Chevrolet EV. While Tesla Superchargers dot across the Twin Cities, you also have access to EVgo, ChargePoint, and ElectrifyAmerica stations, as well. In all, you now have tens of thousands of places to recharge your Chevrolet EV—some right in your neighborhood.
Chevrolet Bolt EV models (2019-2020) will require software updates. If your Bolt EV has not received one, contact our service department at Chevrolet of Spring Valley for an appointment to get your Bolt EV up-to-date to use at a Tesla Supercharger station.
You can check to make sure that your Chevrolet EV is ready to charge at a Tesla Supercharger. If you have an EV up to the 2024 model year, have us check to see if it’s ready to take a charge from a NACS plug. We can look up your vehicle’s software setting to make sure you can do so. We can also get you an adapter to work at a Tesla Supercharger. Just contact us at the parts department at Chevrolet of Spring Valley and we can get one for you.
If you have not experienced a Chevrolet EV, what are you waiting for? They drive like any other Chevrolet, but without having to pump any fuel—just electrons. These days, an EV can go further than ever before. Some models can run on a full battery from 250-300 miles or more. The Chevrolet Silverado EV has a version that can go close to 500 miles.
For a test drive of an EV, contact us at Chevrolet of Spring Valley and we can set you on a path towards a fuel-free future.
