Chevrolet Trax & Corvette receive ALG Residual Value Awards
J.D. Power revealed its 2024 U.S. ALG Residual Value Awards in mid-November. ALG was originally known as the Automotive Leasing Guide and it predicts the resale value of US-sold cars and trucks. Once a year, they announce models in each of 28 categories that retained the highest portion of their original value after three years. Chevrolet of Spring Valley is pleased to tell you that Chevrolet has two winners on that list, and they couldn’t be more different from one another. Epitomizing the broad spectrum of the Chevrolet model line, the Trax has the highest resale value in its subcompact crossover category, while the Corvette retains the most value after three years among high-end sports cars.
For over 550 years, ALG has been the benchmark for residual values in the United States and Canada. When leasing first began taking hold among general consumers, ALG was initially formed to assist manufacturers and financiers in determining model residual value in setting up automotive leases. Because residual value is effectively, resale value, their estimates become relevant to almost anyone purchasing a vehicle. High resale value reflects a manufacturer’s success in long-term quality, design, and the overall desirability of automotive brands and their individual models.
All-New Trax Makes Waves
The 2024 Trax took the top spot in the subcompact SUV category over established models such as the Honda HR-V and Toyota Corolla Cross. The redesigned Trax features greater size, more attractive exterior and interior styling, additional technology and safety features, and a new turbocharged 1.2-liter Inline-3 drivetrain. Its low starting MSRP of $20,400 makes it Chevrolet’s most affordable model yet it still includes desirable features such as standard Chevy Safety Assist, wireless Apple CarPlay®, and Android AutoTM compatibility. Available upscale features include an 11-inch display screen, 8-inch digital driver display, and wireless charging.
What Corvette Does Best
The Corvette has provided the performance of high-priced sports cars from Germany, England, and Italy, at a fraction of their cost for several decades. The mid-engine C8 enhances that tradition with supercar-level handling and agility, and a possible 0 to 60 time of under 3 seconds. In addition, its interior now ranks with the best of its world-class competitors, and yet it comes with an accessible starting MSRP of $68,300.
Resale should always be among the factors to be considered in new car selection. If you are looking for a world-class sports car or a small SUV, ALG is pointing to the Trax and Corvette. Take a look at the high value of these and all the new models at Chevrolet of Spring Valley.
