Corvette E-Ray Races Into Forza Motorsport

Since its debut in 2005 on the original Xbox gaming console, Forza Motorsport has been one of the leading realistic-style racing games. As of April 2021 Forza has sold more than 16 million copies on 4 different Xbox consoles. Since Forza started allowing updates with car packs, the games have become even more desirable with special collaborations. Chevrolet is no stranger to collaborating with Turn 10 Studios, the developer of Forza Motorsport, and has been a part of every Forza game since the first one came out on May 3, 2005.

The newest version of Forza, Forza Motorsport, goes on sale in October and features the brand-new Corvette E-Ray and Cadillac V-Series racing car on the cover.

What Is An E-Ray?

The brand new 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray is the first ever All-wheel drive and Electrified Corvette in its 70-year history. It features a 6.2-liter LT2 V8 producing 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque to the rear axle, coupled with a 1.9 kWh battery pack that sends 160 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque to the front axle, to create the eAWD system. The combined power output is 655 horsepower and 595 lb-ft of torque. During certain types of driving, the E-Ray can send additional power to the front axle to increase traction and stability. This electrified Corvette can get to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds, and fly through the ¼-mile in 10.5 seconds, while still being able to travel up to 45 mph in full electric mode.
