Chevy Suburban Models Can Withstand the Test of Time
How Reliable is a Chevy Suburban?
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how many bells and whistles a vehicle has if it isn’t reliable. Reliability is at the heart of what makes a great vehicle great. You want your purchase to last you for years and years, and someday, maybe even pass the vehicle along to your kids. The last thing you want is for a vehicle to become a scrap heap as soon as it reaches 100,000.
Now, much of vehicle reliability has to do with how well you maintain the vehicle. If a vehicle isn’t well-maintained, it simply won’t last long no matter how well it was engineered or manufactured. For example, if you go years without an oil change, there’s a good chance you’re going to run into problems.
When it comes to vehicle reliability, we recommend all our models. But there is one model, in particular, we want to highlight here, and that is the Chevy Suburban. After all, there’s a reason why the Subaruban is the longest continuously used nameplate in production today. A Suburban simply withstands the test of time.
Suburban Used Car Data
One way you can determine if a vehicle is built to last is by seeing how many models are available in the used market, as well as how many miles are on those vehicles. Vehicle History released a report on some of this data, noting how many used Chevy Suburban models were on the market with between 125,000 and 150,000 miles.
A similar report from iSeeCars listed the Chevy Suburban as the third most likely vehicle to reach 200,000 miles. Now that is longevity.
