KBB.com Says the Equinox EV Is a Triumph

The award-winning 2025 Chevrolet Equinox EV has been receiving plenty of good reviews from the automotive media. Recently, Kelley Blue Book (KBB.com) had a chance to test out a 2025 Equinox EV RS.
The editors found the 2025 Equinox EV “normal” compared to other SUVs in its size class—and that’s a good thing. They loved its conventional design compared to other EVs and the way it drove. They call it a “triumph” for all compact SUV EVs, perhaps due to the tester’s configuration. The all-wheel drive (AWD) 2025 Equinox EV RS model comes with two motors, one at each axle. All told, it put down 288 horsepower. That driveline is good for an Environmental Protection Agency tested range rated at 285 miles. A single-motor, front-wheel drive (FWD) version is available that has a range rated at 319 miles.
On the RS tester, the KBB.com team found the 17.7-inch diagonal high-definition touchscreen display very useful. The touchscreen is powered by Google Built-in, which brings a range of advanced interactive features including Google Assistant voice controls, Google Play Store functions, Maps, and more. There is no need to connect your smartphones to access these apps; however, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can be connected wirelessly.

They also found the cargo space to be generous. That space starts with 26.4 cubic feet behind the rear seats. With those seats folded down, you get a maximum of 57.2 cubic feet. The cargo floor is height-adjustable so that you can bring taller items home from the store.
We cannot mention anything about the 2025 Equinox EV without talking about its standard Chevy Safety Assist. Providing you an extra layer of protection, this suite is comprised of features including automatic emergency braking, automatic high beams, forward collision alerts, following distance indicators, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, and lane departure warnings. It also comes standard with blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alerts, reverse automatic braking, HD Surround Vision, rear parking sensors, and a safety alert seat system that vibrates when a warning is needed.
Plus, you can equip your Equinox EV with the available Super Cruise. This system enables you to experience hands-free driving on nearly 750,000 miles of compatible roads. This also came with the tester—and, yes, it worked well for them.

In all, KBB.com really liked its 2025 Equinox EV RS all-wheel-drive tester. So will you. It may just change your mind about driving an EV.
