Popular Features Now More Accessible on the 2024 Silverado 1500
What’s New for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500?
When you think about pickup trucks, we’re willing to bet that there’s a good chance that it’s a Chevy Silverado that comes to mind. For American pickup drivers, the Silverado has been a tried and true model for generations.
That said, Chevy isn’t one to rest on its laurels. Instead of settling for what they’ve done in the past with this beloved truck nameplate, they are constantly working to bring the latest and greatest features and engineering to the table. That’s why we’re excited to share with you some of the new updates for the 2024 Chevy Silverado 1500.
2024 Silverado 1500 Updates
One thing you’ll want to make a note of for the 2024 model year is that the Silverado 1500’s 2.7-liter High-Output inline-4 engine now has a new name. It has picked up the TurboMax name and is one of the available engines in addition to the Turbo-Diesel that is available on the ZR2 trim. The latter is well known for its capability, delivering up to 305 horsepower and 495 lb-ft of torque. If you prefer a gasoline engine but don’t want to sacrifice power, you can opt for the 2024 model’s V8 engine that also comes with a Sport mode.
A number of design changes have made their way to the Silverado 1500 for the new model year, including two new paint colors: Lakeshore Blue Metallic and Slate Gray Metallic. If you enjoy your preferred paint color with blacked out features, you’ll be happy to find that Chevy has expanded the availability of such design features. The Midnight Edition is now available on the High Country model and has also added black power-retractable assist steps. If the Midnight Package isn’t quite what you were looking for, you can also get the Blackout Appearance Package on the Custom, Custom Trail Boss, RST, LT Trail Boss and ZR2 models.
Other features that have been made more accessible include Adaptive Cruise Control, which is now standard on the High Country model, as well as the Front and Rear Park Assist system, which is now included on either the Safety Package or WT Safety Package. Seamless smartphone connectivity via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can now be found standard on the WT trim level.
