What’s New on the 2024 Trailblazer

Chevrolet has already shown its 2024 Trailblazer to the world, and while the changes are short of comprehensive, they do add more style, value, and convenience to Chevrolet’s sportiest compact SUV. 

An Exterior Make-Over

The 2024 Trailblazer gets a restyled front fascia. The center grill is enlarged while the upper grill becomes a low-profile slit flanked by equally low-profile LED daytime running lights.  The headlights are also more compact and in combination with other details make the entire front end sharper and more aggressive. Following the front design changes are new wheel designs for each trim level, including 19-inch wheels for the RS.

All-New Dash Design

Changes are even more significant inside which features a completely redesigned dash.  It has an upscale horizontal and features an 11-inch center display screen and an 8-inch Driver Information Center for all models. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard across the model line as are push-button start, cruise control, and an HD Rear Vision Camera. In addition, all models will be Wi-Fi Hotspot capable.  Wireless phone charging is now available on the LT. 

The front passenger still folds flat-forward so with the rear seatbacks folded, you can fit objects up to 8.5 feet long inside.  With the front passenger seat up but the 60/40-split folding rear seatbacks down, you have up to 54.4 cubic feet of max cargo volume.  A reversible, two-tier storage system offers optimized flexibility for cargo organization.

Model lineup and Drivetrains Retained

The model lineup remains as is with  LS, LT, ACTIV, and RS Trims  The FWD LS and LT are powered by a 137 hp 1.2-liter turbocharged engine with a Continuously Available Transmission.  Opting for all-wheel drive on the LS and LT brings in the larger 155 hp 1.3-liter turbocharged engine with a 9-speed Automatic. The larger engine is standard on all ACTIV and RS models regardless of drivetrain.

The ACTIV continues to be the most off-road focused trim with unique tires, shocks, and dampers all designed for off-road capability.  The RS is the most sport-focused Trailblazer with blacked-out exterior cues, a unique mesh grille, dual exhaust outlets with chrome tips, and 19-inch wheels.
