Which 2023 Chevy Silverado trim level is the right one for me?
Deciding on a trim level largely comes down to your personal preference, much like choosing the model did. If you’ve narrowed down your desire for a full-size, light-duty pickup truck to the 2023 Chevy Silverado, then you’ve already weeded out all vehicles that don’t belong to that segment, then plucked out all of the other models to settle on the best pickup truck to suit your wants and needs. Choosing a trim level works just the same, with each one offering a different palette of features and design cues at different price points. So, if you’re trying to figure out which Silverado trim level is the right one for you, we cannot simply tell you the answer. But we can highlight each one to help you come to a decision.

Work Truck
The most bare bones version of the truck, the Work Truck trim level is designed to be just that – a work truck. It has the most affordable price tag as it’s stripped of most of its features and tech, not to mention doors and seats.
Custom
The Custom trim level is the next step up, being powered by the TurboMax engine and outfitted with some more exciting features. These standard features on the Custom model include 20” Bright Silver painted-aluminum wheels, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, Chevy Safety Assist, a remote engine starter, the EZ Lift powered tailgate and a Trailering Package.
Custom Trail Boss
The next step up takes everything you might love about the Custom trim level and adds Trail Boss amenities to the mix. This includes a 2” factory suspension lift, the ZR1 Off-Road Package, an Autotrac 2-speed transfer case, an automatic locking rear differential, skid plates, 18” high-gloss black-painted wheels and a raised hood with black insert.
LT
The trim level situated above this is one of the two most popular. LT adds a host of features, including a 13.4” display audio screen, 12.3” digital instrument cluster, 20” painted-aluminum wheels, LED reflector headlamps and signature daytime running lamps.
RST
Reaching the middle of the pack, the RST trim level is largely the same as the LT except that it replaces the wheels with 20” high-gloss black ones and adds a set of body-colored accents including the center grille, bumpers and door handles.
LT Trail Boss
Much like the Custom Trail Boss, this trim level adds its namesake amenities to everything the LT trim level already has to offer. This includes the same things that were added in the other Trail Boss trim level.
LTZ
Now we’ve reached the other most popular trim level, which continues to build on what a lot of the trim levels preceding it have already added. Its new features include perforated, leather-appointed front seating, 20” polished-aluminum wheels and a system of eight cameras with fourteen total views.
High Country
The High Country trim level is considered to be the top of the lineup. It includes most everything that was available in the lesser trim levels, with a few bonuses of its own. These bonuses include premium leather seating surfaces, with exclusive customized perforation and stitching as well as authentic open-pore wood trim, plus the available Super Cruise tech with trailering.
ZR2
Finally, although not technically the top-tier trim level, the incredible off-road ZR2 trim level rounds up our list. It adds a host of off-road features and tech, such as Multimatic DSSV dampers, e-lockers in the front and back, large underbody skid plates, a front bumper cut with the off-road in mind and 33” Goodyear Wrangler Territory mud terrain tires.
