There’s More to the Silverado’s Windows Than You Know
Why Are the Silverado HD’s Windows Bigger Than the 1500’s?
America loves its pickup trucks, and if you are one of the many Americans who love theirs, then you’ve probably noticed some fine details about the vehicle that others maybe wouldn’t. For instance, you might notice how your Silverado’s paint job glistens just a little bit more in the sun compared to some other pickups out on the road, and you might notice that the interior is just a little bit softer too.
Something else you might have noticed about the Silverado is that the windows on the Silverado HD are larger than the windows on the Silverado 1500. Now, at first, this may seem obvious, considering that the HD is larger than the 1500, but it’s actually more complicated than that.
Explaining the Silverado HD’s Larger Windows
The Silverado HD is not just larger than its smaller 1500 sibling. It actually has a completely different interior than the 1500 as well. In fact, nothing about the cabin in the two trucks is the same except for the roof. The Silverado HD comes with Chevy’s more premium version of the interior for the Silverado.
Because the Silverado HD sits higher on the road than the 1500, it becomes easy for visibility to be negatively impacted. So, the Silverado HD has a lower beltline, and therefore, larger windows to take up that space between the roof and the beltline. This gives the Silverado HD better visibility than it might have otherwise.
